The song that I will be discussing today is from the group called Africa Hitech. This duo just released their debut album titled “93 Million Miles” via Warp Records. This Warp Records imprint is a good indicator that the release will be an adventurous trip and packed with electronic blips and sounds. The third track on the album titled “Out in The Streets’ grabbed my attention upon the first listen.
"Out in The Streets" features a very familiar sample that has been used in numerous hip-hop and reggae songs. However, the familiarity of the sample does not take away from the originality of the composition as a whole. The song gradually builds and gains momentum as it progresses. It stutters and bounces around, while simultaneously blurring the lines between the reggae, hip hop and electronic genres. In addition the song has a thumping bass that makes it ready for the clubs this summer, too bad a lot of clubs won’t be playing this banger.
Song of The Day will be Africa Hitech “Out in the Streets”
